Agree with that. There is no way now of getting any updates until dealer hopefully reopens sometime in June. I received a generic email from my enquires in the dealership to say they can’t tell anyone anything until Covid is over. Well that could be never 🤔

Apparently mine is not at the dealers and that was a mistake. I got the 5b today as well and after a bit of searching on ship tracking there is a ship called Mermaid Ace that docked this morning at port Elizabeth. Presuming this is our ship for anyone that got the 5b today. https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/ME ... -355139000

I only got a 5a SMS today, what's the difference between that and 5b?

Mine was as follows :
Stage 5a - In transit, left the factory for Port Elizabeth
Stage 5b - In transit, arrived at Emden awaiting transport to UK
Stage 5c - In transit, on it's way to UK

I had to ask my supplying VW Dealer for that, then tracked the ship here > https://www.vesselfinder.com/

Don't think it's this one, it's just left Durban on the way to Singapore!

Yeah I agree. I think ours are going to be loaded onto the 'weser highway' if you look at its past travel, it's back and forth from grimsby port. Also checking live map, it looks docked for loading

( this is all guess work of course )

Similar thing happened to mine. Car was released to the ship at Port Elizabeth and then went back to Durban. Incredibly annoying when you're tracking the ship and already been waiting a while!

It then went back to Port Elizabeth before heading towards Emden.

From memory the journey was:

Port Elizabeth (car loaded) > Durban > Port Elizabeth > Dakar > Emden > Grimsby (different ship).

You can see the port calls here: https://www.myshiptracking.com/vessels/ ... mo-9702405 and it's now heading to PE https://www.myshiptracking.com/?mmsi=538005503. Mine didn't go through the suez canal. That ship journey could be different to mine though, think someone on here said it depends on what cargo they have to pick up on the way.

If I had to guess though the Glovis Sunrise will follow a similar journey mine did. :)

Awesome, yeah i'll be keeping a close eye on it. Good thing is it never stays in port for very long so hopefully it gets underway pronto
