Polo 6R 2012 automatic lights
Polo 6R 2012 automatic lights
Hello, I am new to the forum and I would like to install the automatic lights kit on my Polo 1.6 TDI sport 2012 with xenon headlights and with a factory installed rain and light sensor. I have seen something here but I have many doubts. I am Spanish and my English is not very good. I hope to learn a lot. A greeting.

If your xenon is from factory then you can certainly install auto lights

I was in the same situation as you and wanted auto headlights, more for the function of DRLs when you unlock from the key
It's quite a lot of work if you're fairly new and inexperienced.
An easier option that i went for is a headlight switch from amazon.
You just replace your existing switch (push in and turn clockwise to 12 oclock position) with a new one which has a built in light sensor which you just hide in the windscreen
Works really well and comes with its own app. It's quite pricey but much less than the OEM option.
Some people will definitely disagree but for ease of use its great.
