Can anyone help me, I was looking to putting new alloys on my mk4.........
8j 15 on the front
11j 15 on the back and get some custom arches welded on the back to cover the tyres sticking out.
But I’ve been warned that I’m going to put **** loads of strain on my wheel barings on the back???
Is this true, and will it do any other damage??
These wheels are gorgeous!!!

Re: Wheel barings
The -ve/reduction in offset (ET) will be the thing that puts all the strain on the wheel bearings - most wheels are balanced around the hubface ie bearing so the wheel doesn't act like a lever on the fulcrum (bearing) You will increase the load so you will knock out bearings over a period of time....Tommy83 wrote:Can anyone help me, I was looking to putting new alloys on my mk4.........
