Hi all,
Has anyone else noticed that their metal key (not the plastic fob) becomes quite warm when its been in the ignition, even after a relatively short journey of around five miles?
I noticed it just recently how warm it was, not hot but quite noticeably warm (ignition not facing the sun so the cylinder wasn't warm to start with).
I've had my Polo since July 2019 and can't say I've noticed it before.
Many thanks,
Simmo

Re: Warm ignition key
I’ve noticed this a couple of times. I was wondering is the battery charging in the key when it’s in the ignition like they do on some other cars. But I haven’t seen that mentioned it on the polo???
