@AnthonyH89; Looks good, although it’s a shame the weather wasn’t better on collection day.
Just looked back through your earlier posts and you had a notification on 13th March to say your car had left the factory. That’s very quick for a car ordered on 8th Feb - less than five weeks from order to leaving the factory - so sounds like your dealer was able to grab an existing order in the system and get it changed to your spec. ‘Normal’ lead times before the Pandemic were 5-6 months so working backwards and allowing 8 weeks for transit from the factory, a car would normally been built around three months after ordering.
So you’re on of the very lucky few!
. Enjoy your new car.

From the pictures posted by @AnthonyH89, they’re the 17” Parker’s.Vonbek2004 wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2020 7:14 am Happy driving.

Yeah I think that's what he did! So yes very lucky. Was reading some dreadfully long lead times.
Yeah they are the standard 17" parker's. Read that they make the ride slightly more comfortable and come with better Michelin primacy 3 tyres. Also I do like the look of them too.
Was minor issues have you come across? I'll try and keep an eye out for them.
Sorry for not adding names in replies Haha

Thanks, I’d highly recommend the black, as against the white as i think it looks great.. I was lucky when I got my car as it was already made just had to wait for shipping..AnthonyH89 wrote:Lovely Vonbek! I wanted black roof too but put the build date back abit. The niggles I was saying about and it might not be on your car is the mooing noise when reversing.. this group is loaded with comments about that..
You’ll love the car though, it’s super quick..

Excellent news and enjoy! You’ve done really well on delivery. I ordered week after you and had a car already in the system but mine won’t arrive now until September. Happy motoring

With the corona situation the wait time wasn't bad, I waited 4 months for my polo in a normal time. Enjoy the ride!

Re: Finally picked up my GTI plus
Yeah I've been worrying abit about the mooing noise myself Vonbek. Keeping my fingers crossed I dont develop it.
Do you have any tips on how to avoid or stop it? Or do you just live with it?

Yes hopefully your new car doesn’t develop it..AnthonyH89 wrote:Yeah I've been worrying abit about the mooing noise myself Vonbek. Keeping my fingers crossed I dont develop it.

Well I’ve had the issue for just over a year, so am starting to live with it, i was going through a rejection but I decided to withdraw on that as monkeyhanger provided some good advice on a previous post, which was perhaps aftermarket pads and discs could be a resolution..
