Thanks iichel.
In case I decide to sell the 6R I will let you know.

My other cars are untouchable for at least 4 years, except that:
- The Touareg lacks the trailer hitch, but it's something I'm not worried about right now.
- The T-Cross 1.5 TSI 150 EVO is full equipment, but 'm still waiting to receive it in August, it will be a MY 2021.

One month ago, I was very close to buying a Golf 7.5 R-line Red (beautiful), it had exactly everything I wanted. It is still possible.

Perhaps I can convert the parking lot into a national flag of Golf 7.5 :)

I wonder why the part that fits on the door is plastic ... and not rubber like the corrugated tube ... (f hell)

Yesterday I broke the top fastening tab on the passenger door side, I took a lot of care and time to remove it, but it wasn't enough.
I have already ordered 2 new parts at my VW dealer (8€ each).

I think that without removing other parts of the door it is one of the most difficult parts to remove that I have found in my life.

Well, you have the option to install Discover Media for PQ25, its operation is exactly the same... you already know who you have to talk to to get it. 8)

This DM will also be installed and put into operation easily  , but first I want to check the levels of commitment regarding the contamination of our planet in these matters. These parts shown are new manufactured by VW or with permission from VW. :)

Nice upgrade, you keep the knobes and you have have almost same functionality like discovery Pro.

What about component protection? Will VW dealer will fix this for you?

Yes, in the case of my wife's Golf I like that it has the knobs. 8)

The CP will be removed at my VW dealer,
or through an Online cOnNeCtIoN.

Hello to all the followers of this thread.

wE aRe dOiNg a deep study about the BCMs for Golf MK7.5 and its retrofitting, we still have to check some small details through our methods...

You must keep the following ...
1) apart from transferring the coding/adaptations, remove CP, IMMO... the BCM must be parameterized with a Dataset 📁 for the VW model where it is installed.
Example: in case you have retrofitted a new/used BCM B, M, M+, H, H+, from another VW / AU / SE / SK model -donor car-, and there are things that may not work properly on your VW model.

And by other side...
2) keep in mind that the manufacturing dates for parts are very important for full compatibility, even for the same model (G7.5). The "MODEL YEAR"
Example: Your retrofitted Light Assist mirror -Address 20- works erratically due to non-compatibility between the BCM Dataset (model year) and mirror (model year).

Some of the retrofitted units must be parameterized (Dataset) according to the car model in which they are installed in order for them to work correctly, being possible that the diagnosis with some diagnostic tools may be correct (no fault code found) but the unit may not function properly if it is not correctly parameterized.

---

I'm also doing a phisic small study about the G7.5 fuse box (supply bars +30 and other signals, +15, etc ...).
For this small study I bought a used G7.5 fuse box on eBay, personally I consider it very important to make retrofits in a simple and especially clean way, avoiding wired fuses that are held by a single leg...

Enjoy the process ciclo. I know that the result will satisfy you. My current vw is missing both blind spot monitoring and folding mirrors and is super inconvenient for me.

With a glimpse you can see if your car is locked and the blind spot had saved my bacon a few times the last 3 years.

Now the questions, how do you know that the door modules your car have are compatible with the folding function?

Also the same thing for the bcm. How do you know which bcm will support the blind spot monitoring? Is there a public list with these info as there is for the pq25 bcm?

Idea/recommendation for the car: get the steering wheel from the golf 8/ passat 8.5. Although you have already changed your steering wheel and it might be extreme to change it again, it's the best looking VW steering in my opinion. It still comes with physical buttons and it's very nice to the eye.

VW is ruining its steering wheels. Latest iteration of VW steering wheel comes with capacitive buttons ( I can't remember in which car they are introducing it).

Thanks exantas. 8)

Regarding the door modules and the folding function of the Golf's mirrors I already changed the driver's door module of my Golf (a pleasant experience in terms of adaptation/parameterization of the module with my Vw dealer that I prefer not to say - NEVER AGAIN -) from 5Q4 959 393 F without the pins for the folding function to 5Q4 959 593 F due to I installed the fold mirrors with puddle lights (OEM). The passenger door module was correct from factory due to the memory function for the mirror tilt function when reversing.
... and now I bought other new full-featured mirrors. :D

In short, I now have three sets of mirrors, the factory ones (electric, heated, memory, manual fold, etc.), the current ones (electric, heated, memory, electric fold, puddle lights, etc.) and the new ones that include all the above plus the mirror with the warning light for BSD and the wiring for BSD built-in the righ way.

---

For Golf 7.5 the BCM is not directly related to the BSD (Lane Change), they are other modules (GW, ABS, Instruments, Infotaiment, Park/steer, A5).

For PQ25, and IMHO this is the best retrofit for BSD:
https://www.drive2.ru/l/531400018091835697/ (MaDwArLoCk)
But it is highly recommended that you talk to iichel and benzinkopf, they will be able to tell you what is the best compatibility of Lane Change units for the PQ25. Look at their threads in 6R section, there is detailed info.

---

It is not clear to me that VW is ruining the buttons on its steering wheels. I have not tested them yet.
It is clear that people are used to and like the physical buttons but I think it would be a good idea if certain sounds are introduced when pressing the touch/capacitive buttons. I do not know if this is already happening in the Golf 8, which may have these capacitive buttons available for the MFSW.

However I appreciate your recommendation, I like that people provide me with recommendations. Thank you very much.👍
No problem if I have to have another steering wheel among my spare parts ...

Good morning ciclo.

Yes you are right probably ppl will get used to the capacitive buttons.

But me I like the texture and the difference levels that physical buttons provide, so I don't need to look where I press and wait for some vibration mechanism to give feedback. Time would tell :)

I have seen the steering that I am talking about in passat 8.5, T6, Caddy and it looks good on every car.

Did your car came with full electric adjustable driver's seat? Is this what VW is referring to memory setting in the mirrors? (memory function for the mirror tilt function when reversing)

Good morning exantas.
My wife's Golf is one of those versions called "Last Edition" with basic equipment plus a few more extras 8) (Ready2go version for Spain), the car was already available at the VW dealer with the factory equipment, one week for delivery at an excellent price - especially for my wife 🤣-.
The seats are the simplest in the range :), nothing electric, but they are perfect and especially ergonomic , in the electric motor of the passenger side mirror is the part that supports the memory function (this is enough for the mirror tilt function).

Next month I'll have the opportunity to thoroughly test the new steering wheel that you refer to when my VW dealer deliver me the T-Cross that I bought.

Forgot you getting a new car with the steering, I don't need to say something more. You will see for yourself :)

I recently got a passat gte from the local dealer, a car that they had preconfigured and sell with discount. The car has electric mirrors with manual fold and potlights, but the mirror doesn't dip on reverse (have set the nobe on R). So I try to understand what is this memory function on the mirror. I thought that it has to do with cars that have electric seats with preset, where each person can set the seat and side mirror settings in memory.
