The tracker is completely unreliable. Absence of a status update doesn't mean the status hasn't changed.

I have requested a quick turnaround and expect delivery to me at the end of next week. But having been promised the car delivery on March 20th I don’t hold out much hope.

Have you heard anything about yours?

Ha! I have been told pretty much the same thing. They've promised the car will arrive at the dealers on Friday 24th. I am really not optimistic about that date having received so many previous dates from them.

I have been loyal to VW for over 20 years, purchasing golfs, sciroccos & an eos all new, I ordered my Polo GTI+ on 15/01/20 and all I know is it’s in transit, this process is beginning to leave a sour taste, the communication is appalling, I’m beginning to think of ditching the order & look elsewhere as it would be a bad start to ownership, me thinks that the current emissions law suit is having an effect on the once great car maker😩

If in doubt ask your dealer. They should be able to tell you what ship it is on (if it’s on one) or where in the process it is. The other thing that sometimes works on the Tiguan forums is to contact customer service and say you’re thinking of cancelling for a merc/bmw as you can’t get an update.

For anyone who has ordered, my car is due into Emden early hours of Wednesday morning which makes it exactly three weeks journey since it left South Africa.

Just had an email from the dealership I ordered from back in January, my Polo GTI+ is on a ship called Glovis Spirit and arrives in Emden tomorrow (21/07/20) at 20:30, don’t know what the timeline will be from there.

Same as me. Which port in the UK is it likely to go to? Mines likely to be Grimsby as I’m Preston based.

I've been waiting over a month in Emden with no updates at all, so don't get your hopes up!

Mine was unloaded in Emden in March and I still haven’t got mine yet although it is meant to be delivered to the dealers Today but no word from my lease company.

Had some decent news this morning!
My POLO GTI+ is made and according to the salesman; travelling across the pond.
He estimated it to be delivered and ready early-september - does it sound about right?

Did he give you the ship? The glovis spirit is due into emden tonight and that would fit with an early September delivery, depending how long the car is then in emden. It’s three weeks from South Africa via boat.

Not to go off topic, but can anyone recommend a good faraday pouch?

I've got these. They've held up really well, if you've got loads of keys it might be a bit of squeeze to fit them all in though.

The velcro has lasted and is still strong, had a different branded set where the velcro gave up after a month.
