What did you and your Polo do today?
Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Looks great mate, red paddle extensions go well with the interior.
Ordered some of those gas bonnet struts myself (only took 6 weeks delivery), haven't got the tools to install them at the moment though!

Finally the piece arrived, as it did not have the plug to connect to the led I soldered the wires to the led, to connect to the hinge it will be necessary to buy the plug, I had one that is very similar and served.
It be connected to the car or to a 9v battery, as the light turns on a few times and its a led battery lasts a long time.I connected to a battery.

I think you're posting in the wrong area Kygo11, this is the AW (MK10) section.
Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Today, I installed LED fog lights to my car, and played with some OBDEleven adaptations.
Full details below:
Installed Philips x-tremeUltinon Gen 2 LED fogs.
Very pricey, but match the exact colour of my factory LED headlights and also don't appear to be throwing up errors !
https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07M91SP3 ... fFbZ35NZ9R
Played with some OBDEleven adaptations:
Enabled auto CH / LH lights. Now, when I switch my car off in the dark, the coming home lights stay on without me needing to pull the stalk.
DRLs off when switch is off.
Now, if I turn my lamp switch to the off position, the DRLs switch off. Handy if I've arrived to my destination early, and want to sit in the car without drawing attention.
Enabled my keyless entry to work even when the ignition is on.
Won't be used loads, but sometimes I might want to hop out of the car to post a letter or put rubbish in a bin. Now I can leave the car ticking over keeping passengers comfortable without worrying !
(It locks the outside of the car. You can still open the doors from the inside)
Changed the static cornering lights fade off time.
I didn't like how fast the cornering lights would switch off as I turned left and right. Now they fade to off in 1 second instead of around 0.2 seconds.
(Yes, these LED fogs fade really well)

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
I got OBD11 last week and have been making changes to my A4, but will have a look at the wife's Polo GTI+ soon enough.
When I scanned her car, there were 2 faults logged and one won't clear, so I'm assuming that's the unplugged Soundaktor. Might plug it back in and switch the Soundaktor off via OBD11 instead.

Today i decided to find where that noise comes from in the engine bay when i start it up.... Found it was the Radiator fan that makes the racquet for a minute or so until it calms down

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
I assume its only on cold start? If you drive around, stop the engine and restart all is fine?
Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Yea seems to only when the car has been idle for a while , noticed it more during the lockdown of course
