Electrics teaser Problem with rear wiper and aircon / heater

Hi there, I have a problem with the aircon unit / heater and the rear wiper. Both only work after the car's been running for about 30 minutes. Everything else in the car works fine including the rear washer. The problem has got worse over time and now needs fixing. The car's a 9n polo from 2004.

It's strange that it is these two items together and both start working at the same time. I've checked fuses and all look good

I think that you need to be willing to treat these as two faults, and start digging deep on each one to find if it is +12V or 0V(ground) that is missing - sorry, no magic answers from me!

I'd be starting with getting hold of a wiring schedule for that car, Easymanuals is a straight copy of the official VW dealership level documentation.

Chasing wiring issues is not present - but you probably know that already, but you will learn a lot about your car wiring.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure they are the same issue as they both start working at exactly the same time! Super weird!
