And offcourse because the xenon is made by BMW I can overtake much more easily
At night at least. During daytime people go back to the trucklane but when they can see properly that it's just a Polo they spin the steeringwheel back as fast as possible to block me. How nice

First you need 2 headlight-units. Can't use the ones on the car because you have to use the car at a daily basis.
- € 160 euro
Furthermore you'll need xenon-projectors with ballasts. There are lots of projectors but most recommended are BMW-projectors because they are big and give a nice blue light.
I found mine for just 75 euro... that's just a once in a lifetime opportunity.
But ok, one xenon-light was a bit old. So I swapped 2 xenonlights (4300 kelvin) for a pair of 5000 kelvin xenon-bulbs.
- € 75 + 150 = € 225,-
Some small stuff like glue, sealant, screw's etc.
- € 30,-
And so you see why I won't do this again.
The first problem was, damn how do these headlight-units open ?
Well they don't because they are sealed with a very good sealant. So... we had to cut it open. Maybe heating up in an oven or so would work also but the plastic of the headlight is weak.
Problem no 2. The projector is much longer than the headlight has room for. So another cut. The entire back had to be taken off.
Problem no 3. How do you make the enlignment just right. Measuring measuring and with some metal pins into the reflector to support the projector things got right. They can be enlighned in a straight line because there is a lever in the projector to adjust the beam to the right or to the left (UK or Europe drive).
Still a problem now is the sealing. It gets a little damped on the inside on wet days. So I have to make a proper solution for that with glassfibre-mats.
