Hi All
I am new to this website and I was wondering if anyone could kindly give me some advice please. I have purchased a 2013 (63 reg) VW polo Match edition 1.2 TDI and I would like apple car play in my car. I was wondering if i could use a stereo from a 2017 VW polo (which has apple car play) and directly install it into my 2013 VW polo. Is this possible? if yes then would I also need extra cable/harness? I have VCDS so I can carry out any coding if necessary.
I apologise in advance if this topic has been discussed on this website before and your advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

What is the infotainment system your car has already? If it has MIB1(or rns i believe) there are a way to install it MIB2 (from newer model with Apple support).
The cost would be high so for your situation I propose retrofit RCD330 but it has to be done carefully.
