6R to 6C Headlight upgrade help

Yeah I thought they have been the case. Well I have them both now and had a quick look today.. however the right one doesn’t seem to fit! It hits the washer filler pipe and seems quite tight. Need to have a proper look but they are def quite a bit deeper than my H4 headlights.

Easy for your 6R Bluemotion:
1- Buy the 6C H7 headlights.
2- Install them.
3- New BCM coding.
4- Level/correct the light beam patterns with a suitable regloscope.

Hi, I am in the same position as Sbozzy, although I was looking at simply installing H4 LED bulbs, I was not aware that the 6C headlights were able to fit straight in.
Would you mind assisting and letting me know what does and doesn't fit my 2011 bluemotion and what needs done to make them work?

I would quite like to try and convert to the 6C headlight's as opposed to LED bulbs in a halogen headlight as that certainly seems the best option now.

I have a bluetooth OBD II reader and some phone apps, would that suffice?

no, if you want to install anything other than incandescent headlights, you'll need to modify the coding of your BCM

The tool I personally prefer is VCDS, but something like OBD eleven would also do the trick.

I have an OBD II (eleven as you call it), it is a simple bluetooth one that connects to my phone, unless you know of a specific app on the phone or software on my laptop for doing this.

I see, is your OBD eleven capable of doing coding of control modules?

I don't think so, all it does is connect to my phone or laptop via bluetooth.
Do you have a link for something that I could use? I am not out to spend megabucks lol.
