Regarding your last question that you asked me by email, on the PQ25 platform the fog lights cannot be activated when the light switch is in the AUTO position. BCMs are not designed to manage it.
The proper light switch must be installed, which does not physically allow the knob to be pulled to activate the fog lights from the Auto position.

With some of the light switches sold on Ali anything is possible if you have any of these switches ... I think the intention of those kind of light switches sold on Ali is to make them compatible with many cars.

Well, on other platforms you can activate the fog lights from the AUTO position of the light switch, I suppose this depends largely on the type of lamps / bulbs / structure used for these functions.

Everything evolves, it seems that the trend is that the front fog lights disappear being replaced by the lights of bad weather. These bad weather lights do not have to be something physical, they can be additional functions built into the new types of headlights.
The result obtained is more appropriate for adverse weather conditions.

Ok. I want to get rid of that fault code in radio. The shark fin antenna was installed. Work was done in dealership. They removed stock antenna chip and fixed it into this. What could be the problem? Can you please help me fixing this issue? Radio fm is not working. Not catching reception.

The fault should not be present if the chip was installed correctly.
For better reception you must add another antenna, there are 2 to 1 adapter cables for the antenna input of your radio.

I recommend that you do searches with the reference number of your radio in the forum of russia or also of india. It is a very common issue.

Hello ciclo sir, the light sensor I feel is very sensitive. It’s switching on headlights even during daytime in parking area which isn’t dark at all. Can we adjust its sensitivity?

It is as it should be, no adjustment needed. Ensure your safety.
You must bear in mind that the automatic lighting is mainly for other drivers to see our cars in conditions of reduced visibility.
Sunrise, sunset, shadows, bad weather-environmental conditions, etc ...

The key words are 'other drivers' ... we don't all have the same vision abilities. Ask Patil (our dear Doctor).


I'm sure that from now on, you'll be looking forward to them turning on automatically as soon as possible.

I concur with Master ciclo regarding autolight operation on our 6R.

Even though we feel lights come on too early with respect to ambient lighting conditions, its appropriate and advantageous to have them turned on bit earlier than expected. I've observed many top end luxury cars like BMW, Merc, Audi's having auto headlights turning on earlier in dusk.

Whats the point of having retrofitted auto lights and keeping the light swith in "0" position? It defeats the very purpose of having OEM autolights.

The coding 0228DD which Master ciclo has provided you is the standard factory coding for vehicles with autolight for 5K7 955 559 B sensor.

What you can try is changing and experimenting the bit value of byte 1 of RLS coding. Lesser the bit value, later the headlights will turn on and vice-versa. For eg.. you can try from your current value 28 to 20, 18, 14, 12 etc and observe the change in behaviour of light sensitivity. I think the range accepted is from 00 to 30 bit value. You can keep the Byte0 and Byte2 values unchanged.

In my case, I have set the Byte1 bit value to 08, on my square type sensor 1K0 955 559 AH. It works perfectly as I desired, headlights turn on neither too early nor too late. To be presise they turn on between 18:00 hrs to 18:30 hrs IST.

Once I had kept value to 04 or less.. for this value the headlights started turning off at night whenever on coming vehicles with highbeam passed by or waiting in traffic at night under a street light.. crazy

this coding wasn't given by ciclo sir. I made changes myself. The perfect coding was 0628DD provided by sir in 2017 when I installed the rls and mirror. The coding was rejected by the vcds as I had 12.12.
I tried it but it got rejected by latest 20.4 version as well. I tried several other coding just by random changes but rain closing didn't work. So left it at that.
