Digital Speedometer not working

Hi all,

I believe my polo has a digital speedo. However, it just shows 3 dashes where the digits should be.

I'm not sure if it has been de activated?

If it has, how would I re-activate it?

Looks like you're at the speed limiter screen. Not the digital speedo.

Do you have buttons on your steering wheel or wiper stalk?
Theres a way to bring up the Digtial Speedo but you need buttons.

I've got a rocker switch and a reset switch on my wiper stalk, but nothing on the steering wheel

I read this on another group and people got it up.
You will need Carista or VCDS though.

Cluster region needs to be Australia.
Once thats done press Left button on the cluster three times
Mileage will flash
Press right Set/0.0 button then left button again

Then use the wiper stalk buttons to cycle through the display and it should show.

Maybe yours was alright done at one point so you could try using the buttons like instructions and see if it appears.

Same exact process as Polo.

Wish I had buttons so I’m jealous I can’t do it but seen others successful doing it following instructions.

I’d be happy just to see my average mpg at least
Only can see range or temperature sometimes sadly, but you should get the Speedo sorted.
