EPC and Check Engine

Post by Nikolai001 »

Quick post as I am currently in absolute despair

My EPC light and check engine randomly came on
Throttle feels like it's skipping
As soon as I turn the engine on it states that there is an error with the start/stop
Reverse refused to work
Revs capped at 2k I presume it's the engine limit since there is a malfunction

I hooked up my friend's OBD and 2 error codes came out before this occurred
14632
2838

Any guidance would be highly appreciated

From doing a quick google search 14632 appears to be coolant pump for intercooler and 2838 looks to be fuel rail pressure low. You could try clearing the codes and see if it happens again but I think be safe and contact VW and get them to pick the car and diagnose the problem.

Do you reckon the EPC light is credited to the Coolant pump?
My Polo is under warranty, would that be covered?

I can't see how it wouldn't be.

Car has been taken to the dealership
Luckily it's still under warranty :)
