So I went shopping:





And decapitated this lever and manual Polo 6R0 lever





Do some frankensteining....







It's not perfect - yet.

The 5NB lever has the D/S on the same LED. The 6R0/6C0 lever works differently.

Pin layout 6R0, it has one common positive and switched negatives, it seems:

T10/
1 permanent GND
2 +-
3 P
4 R
5 N
6 D
7 S
8 Common + (+15 with DRL, 58d with sidelights and low beam)
9 vacant
10 vacant

Normally, I always have the digital speedo in my cluster. The oil temperature is only 1 click down, if you need it.

Yes, I have an intact DPF on my car.

You mean the DPF differential pressure sensor? It's still on the original location, a bracket on the fuel filter.

No, i meant on the sensor lines that go to the dpf. I presume you routed them on top side. Since its not visible on photo. That why i thought you maybe turned that feature off.

Ah yes, now I understand. The DPF is completely intact and working as intended. All sensors present.

How I got by the issue of the D/S indicator in the lever head not being illuminated.

to illuminate the D/S in S mode. the dsg selector mechanism has some kind of error detection on the LED.
if I connect both one or wires to the D/S LED (T10/6) it will go out after a few seconds. I don't think there is a DSG bit/byte to disable light diagnostics on the dsg lever

iichel, thanks a lot for sharing both the problem and solution associated with new led dsg lever on 6R. Even I have ordered same lever, yet to reach me (RUS--IND). I intend to install new lever with 6C base( more lights ).

I see you are using a 12v 1ch relay with optocoupler isolated board that allows an electrical signal to be transmitted between two isolated circuits(for D&S) sharing single SMD, am I right? I am curious to know how it works.
