MST Turbo Intake Pipe - 2012 Polo 6R
Hey guys,
I'm looking to buy an MST Turbo Intake Pipe. https://www.mst-performance.com/products/vw-mk708
While the only one I found is made for the EA211 engine and mine being the EA111 (CBZC) engine, I was wondering if any of you could help me with the fittment.
The mounting mechanism looks to be the same on EA111 as well as on the EA211 the only difference being angle of the hose, but thats not an issue as it can be rotated. The only question I have is in regards to the front of the turbo and mounting the pipe itself as on OEM parts they also look very similar, but one turbo being a bit larger/smaller could be an issues.
Thanks in advance.

For reference, I'm also adding the MST Pipe along with OEM EA211 Pipe and down below the EA111 OEM Pipe.

If its a big difference in diameter with oem and silicone pars it's a no go.
But you can cut the silicone hose, and a metal step down to the diameter of the hose you need.
You can make it work.
meaning silicone hose> metal step down> silicone hose> turbo
in this case you would need extra
metal step down
silicone hose of right diameter
2x silicone hose clamps
edit never mind its plastic at the end. It would be a lot of work.to make it if doesnt match up.

Thanks. Yeah, that's what I'm wondering right now, as I have no easy way of trying the plastic bit on my 6R on a EA211 engine.

Re: MST Turbo Intake Pipe - 2012 Polo 6R
I'm really interested in this topic, since I fitted myself an MST turbo intake pipe on a Polo 6C 1.2 TSI EA211 of a friend of mine and the result was amazing.
I could ask to him if he let me try his OEM turbo intake on my EA111 CZB* engine, to see if it's compatible.
In this way, if it turns out to be so, we should assume the MST turbo intake pipe would be it as well!

Hi,
I'm really interested, too.
hope it will fit.
and after that how I get more air to the turbo
drill some holes into the air filter box?

You said “ I fitted myself an MST turbo intake pipe on a Polo 6C 1.2 TSI EA211 of a friend of mine and the result was amazing”
Can you explain what you mean by amazing please? I have read that that these intake pipes increase the turbo noise, but have no effect on bhp.
TIA
Mike

That would be awesome. I've been doing some light detective work tho, trying to compare the two pipes, and am a little bit sceptical as the mounting holes are a little bit different. I might be wrong tho.Jay-Jay wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 11:40 pm I'm really interested in this topic, since I fitted myself an MST turbo intake pipe on a Polo 6C 1.2 TSI EA211 of a friend of mine and the result was amazing.

Thank you Peter.
Do you find it a lot noisier than standard?

Thanks, though if you've done other mods it rather muddies the water. I was curious about the benefits and noise after simply changing to the MST pipe.

With MST Turbo elbow alone, there is a significant change in sound yes. And there is also a positive response on the throttle.
