Hi,
The MK7 Golf GTI and 2021 shape Polo GTI seemed to suffer a lot of dash trim vibration/rattle issues from the fake sound generator behind the dash.
The Mk8 Golf GTI has moved to using the speakers instead which is a much better idea.
Has the 2022 Polo GTI kept the old dash rattler.... or moved to speakers for the fake sound as well?
Thanks
Adrian

Re: 2022 GTI - Soundaktor still?
Sorry I don’t know the answer to your question but in my 2020 GTI+, I turned it down to the lowest setting on the day I took delivery of the car and have never had any soundaktor-related vibration or rattling issues in almost 18 months of ownership.

I have to say also I’ve had mine in sport mode since buying a 2021 model and had no rattles. My old Octavia VRS meanwhile was a terrible rattler!

Thanks for the replies.
I really fancy a new Polo GTI but after having experienced the rattle on a Golf I feel it's just too much of a risk to take (unless they have moved to the newer speaker setupo instead). Knowing my luck it will 100% rattle in sport mode!

If it doesn’t rattle, it’s not a VW!
On a serious note though, any car of any make can suffer with creaks and rattles - from budget to premium brand cars, and not just the mechanism for creating fake engine noise either. I just tried a Google search on ‘BMW unwanted interior creaks and rattles’ and there were quite a few results returned. I was aware of a potential buzzing / vibration from the Polo GTI’s soundaktor when I ordered my car but it didn’t put me off ordering one as I was aware it could be turned down or switched off.
Maybe I’m just lucky, but apart from a very occasional vibration from the storage cubby area below the heating controls on one particular short stretch of road near where I live, my car is creak and rattle free. My previous four cars (all VW’s) have also been pretty much creak and rattle free too.

through speaker? That would be great change ...
in sport it rattle like crazy over 4K rpm but eco and normal is fine.
Personally I use eco in summer since I drive with window down but in winter it makes me a bit nervous to barely hear engine so I use normal.
