Does anyone know on the 1.0 engines are they wet cambelts fitted to them ?
And what is the mileage/age the cambelts need replacing.

Re: Wet cambelt
It uses a lubricated rubber toothed cambelt. The official documentation says it’ll last the “life of the engine”. Some say that “life” is 240k KM’s. I saw somewhere on some document regarding EA211 engines, your safest bet is to check it every 30k KM’s and change it every 120k KM’s as it is an interference engine and you don’t want a snapped timing belt.
