Hi guys. It's been a while.
My car is at around 72K Km and I'm thinking of getting the gearbox oil changed. Since mechanics tend to rip us off (in my country) when it comes to getting parts, I like to get them myself and then just pay for the work.
I could use some help regarding which oil to get for my car. There's Total 75W80, 75W90. Castrol 75W140 SYNTRAX Limited Slip... When it comes to choosing engine oil and filters I'm 100% sure on what to get, but here I'm clueless.
Also I don't know how much to get. I imagine 1 liter should be plenty.
Thanks for your time gents.

If Castrol recommends a certain type, then it must meet the manufacturer specs. I think gear oil isn’t as strict as engine oil so multiple grades fall into the correct specification which is why you get some 75w and 75w 90 etc. I think it would come down to preference, as long as it is recommended by the oil brand it must meet the general spec such as GL-4

Without information such as gearbox type (DSG or 5 Speed Manual or 6 Speed Manual) and gearbox code (E.G. UKC), it is difficult for someone to answer your question.
