Tyre recommendations

Post by Andy D »

New tyre time for my 2020 Polo Gti+. Any recommendations ? Not P Zero's though, they are far too noisy :)

Hi Andy

If you have the 18" rim then Michelin PS5 will do the trick, and you can up the tyre size from 215 to 225.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 are another decent tyre in my opinion.

Yes, I have got 18's. I was thinking in terms of Michelin Pilot Sport or even maybe Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics but I think the Michelins will offer a better wear rate :)

225's presumably will offer better rim protection but how will they affect the handling ? :?

Well tbh I cant really tell if there is a difference, but more is better then less I guess. What I can say is going from the standard 215/40/18 Bridgestone's to the 225/40/18 PS4 made tyre noise almost non existant in the cabin.
