button on dsg polo gti
Hi all,, as new to the gti and a dsg , a quick question please. The button you depress on it , i assume you have to use that for every movement of the dsg , from park -neutral-drive , and going back again , or am i wrong/ Also just checking but when i go through from say drive to -neutral- park i can feel it going through the gears in my hand if that makes sense. Should i feel it at all or should it just slide through with no slight resistance feeling at all?

Re: button on dsg polo gti
Of course the button must be pressed when moving from Park.
Flicking lever back to switch from Drive to Sport on the move doesn’t need a button.
And, when manoeuvring slowly it’s possible to slide from Drive to Reverse without a button press.
I think the idea is that when shuffling backwards and forwards on ice, snow, slippy grass field, etc, it avoids touching brake pedal and makes it quicker with more chance of escaping.
Go play in a quiet car park.
