dsg lag when dropping more than one gear
dsg lag when dropping more than one gear
Quick question if i am for example in s4 gear and floor pedal it seems to take a bit longer to go into s2, just a small delay. But if i am in s3 and then push down the pedal and it goes to s2 it's a quicker change, basically instant. Is this because the next gear would be pre-loaded, and dropping down more than one gear just takes a little more time?

you have two shafts in your DSG gearbox, an even an uneven gear shaft. the first has gears 2, 4 and 6 while the other has 1, 3, 5 and 7.
even to uneven is fine and vice versa, since it's a different shaft.
even to even or uneven to uneven simply takes longer.
