6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems

Hi everyone,
I am from India and I own a Polo 1.2TDI CFWA without ABS, And recently I have bought all the necessary parts required for cruise control retrofit (BCM, Stalk, Wiring) and I was collecting all the necessary Information required for a successful install and I came across a reply where it said cruise control wont work without abs , is this the case?
Any clarification on this is highly needed, thanks.

All Polo 6R models have ABS and CC will work on cars without ESP as well.

Thanks for replying. The polo which I own is a comfortline Variant from 2012. And it doesn't have abs nor airbags. After 2015 only all the polo variants sold in India had Airbags and Abs. Before that only Highline and some Variants had Airbags and abs.

I've never seen this before. I don't know whether it supports cruise control to be honest.

In general does cruise control in polo 6r depends on abs sensor values? Any idea?

If by any chance had anyone's cruise control functions worked perfectly after an abs sensor warning?

It only needs speed, which will be provided by a gearbox signal.

Cruise control is managed by ECU and BCM.. so theoretically it is possible to retrofit Cruise control without ABS. Vehicle speed sensor transmits vehicle speed in Polo's without ABS. But I doubt if your ECU supports Cruise control. Anyway you can give it a try and tell us, as you have procured all the parts.

It's easy to test ECU, just set byte 5 bit 5 and see if it accepts.

Is there any way to confirm whether BCM gets the vehicle speed value. I tried enabling auto door lock when vehicle speed is above 15 Km/Hr but it didn't work.

Does your car key is manual or remote key fob?
