Polo 9N3 jacking Point

Post by Paul1977 »

Hi.
Could someone please give me a distance for the front jacking point on a 2007 Polo 9N3 I.e. from the front mudflap or location relative to the front door, also the length of the reinforced area, for my jack and axle stand? mine has a few dings so can t see the mark, the reinforcement isn't obvious and I do not want to wire-brush the location if I can avoid it.
pictures and diagrams don't really help as they always point to the little dent in the sill, mine appears to be missing or mixed up with other dings.

I plan to replace a tie rod and steering boot on the left side, so being able to safely jack it would be one obstacle out of the way.

Thanks in advance.

Paul

Good morning all,

Newbie alert, so apologies if this is covered elsewhere!

I am picking up a 2007 car today for my son and we have plans to service it ourselves and also to give the bodywork a full and thorough detail. We will therefor want the safely raise the car and pop it on axle stands.

Where else is it safe to jack the 9N3 assuming that the points marked are used to position axle stands.

Many thanks Simon

Jacking points are wide enough.
Just jack it up and place your stands.
Or jack up the subfrsme. Then you can place jackstands on both sides at once.
