Turn off infotainment screen

2020 polo GTi.

I selected the option to switch off screen after 10 secs but it seems to reset each time I restart the car. Is this normal? Is there any way to make the setting permanent?

I saw this option, what does it do?
Turn off while driving?

It turns off screen but leaves music etc playing, screen comes back on temporarily for warnings parking sensors etc.
