service plan question ?

Hi all, i am sure i got 2 years service plan included when i purchased my new gti . Do i have to go back to the selling dealership for this, or is it on the computer system nationwide so i can go any dealer for the service ?. Thank you

That would depend on what type on service plan you purchased,
1 - Was this plan through the manufacturer VW ? In which case you should have no problem going to ANY VW dealership .
2 - Was this plan something the suppling dealership did for their own customers to retain them in aftersales ?

You will have to check your paperwork on this as both could be possible

If it was VW service plan as opposed to the dealership’s own, you should have a VWFS service plan agreement document similar to - or the same as - the one below;

I never got one of those , although i did go on to the vw service plan website , where you can purchase one . I entered my reg plate and it says i already have a service plan , so i would assume its on the system and would show at service time . I never even got one of them forms when i purchased my golf eight , but when i booked it in they said i had a plan .
So was just checking if i had to go to the dealer i got it from , but i do not think so
