Spark plug choice on GTI - stage 2

Post by ad_182_uk »

Hi all.

Anyone have experience with the following plugs;

https://clptuning.co.uk/product/ngk-iri ... lo-gti-aw/

NGK PLFER7A8EG

Any benefit to these over the stock plugs which iirc might be bosch?

Maybe it varies if the car is GPF or not as well.

Anyway, be good to get some info from others that may be stage 1 or 2 tuned as well!

I’m on stage 2 also and I’m thinking of using APR plugs or maybe from a bigger model of the group.

I'm running Audi RS7 coils in the passat, that has a slightly older version from your 2.0 TSI engine (EA888 gen 3, yours is a 3B).
The part no is 06K905601B

Back to the spark plugs. Advice from racingline who provided me with their ‘upgraded’ coilpacks suggest standard spark plugs are fine and it is actually the recommendation they give to people from stock all the way to stage 3. :)
