Please help me find a home for these bolts!

Hi All, I had to remove the dash on my 2012 GTI. Millions of same size screws, except for 2 bolts. Guess what I’ve got left over - yep, the 2 bolts.

Beer tokens for anyone who might recognise where the go!

They are quite small.

what's the size? M6? M8? 12-point socket? Torx? Not by any chance the bolts that hold your steering column?

Could very well be the steering column bolts. Only ones I see listed with inner spline and about M8x20.

Confirm by measuring thread length and diameter.

Thanks very much, but I'm afraid the beers are on hold! I didn't remove that! The bolts are 6mm in diameter, so I guess M6?

Sorry, just reread! The plastic trim is held on by a single bolt, but Torx. These are Allen heads.

I did my fair share of dashboard removals but I can't remember any of these bolts. It's a whole lot of T25 torx and a triplet of M10 hex bolts for the passenger airbag.

If it helps, they were on the passenger side, as I put them in this footwell when dismantling. RHD. Cheers.
