central locking problem

Post by Moss »

The rear passenger door on my polo trendline 1ltr. (2016) won't lock, neither remotely nor with the key nor the internal door-lock button. Is this fixable by a layman or should I take it to a garage?

It would be best to do a scan with a diagnostic tool to find out a little more... do the rear doors have electric windows? If so, do they work?

Rear windows are manual. What's a diagnostic tool?

It is a tool that, among many other things, helps you know the faults/problems of your vehicle with some precision. It connects to the vehicle through the OBD2 port and performs a reading of the vehicle's electrical and electronic components.

I think it is best that you take the vehicle to a workshop, it is possible that the lock is failing.
The lock is a mechanical-electronic component.

Thanks for your help. I think I will take it to a garage.
