Hello, a friend has a 2024 Polo and everytime she turns the car off/on, this message pops up and requires a press of "ok", she's fed up with it now!
She's been to the dealer and they don't know any way of stopping it popping up, so I'm hopeful someone here has experience with this message and knows if/how it can be fixed/disabled.
Thank you in advance for any help or advice.

Re: Asking for a friend - Message onscreen
Found this old discussion topic on the T-Roc forum where a member was getting the same message.MilgeS wrote: Sat Jun 08, 2024 2:18 pm Hello, a friend has a 2024 Polo and everytime she turns the car off/on, this message pops up and requires a press of "ok", she's fed up with it now!

It’s suggested it’s a privacy settings issue and the privacy settings need to be changed, although it also states in one of the posts in that discussion topic that it’s not possible to get rid of the message
Worth trying different privacy settings though.

Thank you for the link, I did send her something similar as I have a T-Cross that gave me a similar message and changing these settings worked for me but she doesn't seem to have any luck.SRGTD wrote: Sat Jun 08, 2024 2:56 pmFound this old discussion topic on the T-Roc forum where a member was getting the same message.MilgeS wrote: Sat Jun 08, 2024 2:18 pm Hello, a friend has a 2024 Polo and everytime she turns the car off/on, this message pops up and requires a press of "ok", she's fed up with it now!

It's probably because it's on newer software, like the T-Roc mentioned in your link, so it looks like she's stuck with it too, so frustrating!
I'll send her the link and she might have a bit of luck with that, thank you again for your help

If you've not tried it yet. Then in cases like this, it's always worth re-setting the Infotainment system (IE. press and hold the on/off button until the screen goes blank and it re-boots).
PS. I'm assuming there are no over the air updates queued to download/install
IE. there's not a number at the top right of the infotainment screen. This will indicate the number (should there be any) of updates waiting.
If so, swipe down and left to see what's there.
Sorry if you already know all this

I know she's been back to the dealer with this issue and they couldn't resolve it, I might be wrongly assuming they checked for updates!MikeDO wrote: Sat Jun 08, 2024 5:56 pm If you've not tried it yet.
