Thank you for all the information posted in detail, I think it is best to wait for you to receive and install the Dimmer, the lack of the '58d signal' causes some of the faults diagnosed in the Autoscan.
I am keeping an eye on the evolution of this Adaptation to help if necessary, thank you for sharing it.

One more question is it possible to install the old axel along with FAG wheelhub on post 2014 drum brake setup with abs? also is the FAG wheel hub available locally in India ? I'm from Nashik, India

Just for the information I only provided the harness from BCM to Fuse Box, Can bus (BCM to Instrument Cluster), and The harness with red connector.

Sanket apologies for the mistake on my part regarding the dimmer and rear fog lights. Hope that is sorted now.

Also please check the Long Coding as the one mentioned here is different than the provided.

Ciclo it would great if you could help with the long coding in your free time as you are best I know for coding purpose. Just for your information this long coding was used -

Of course, I already provided a 'provisional' BCM coding in a previous post in this thread, but as I already mentioned it is essential that the Dimmer is installed.
The 58 signal (58d) is important for several units/backlighting (has the ability to cause various faults in the diagnosis ), it has a little 'trick of understanding' when making this BCM Adaptation (High to Max), hence it is essential to install the Dimmer.

For my provisional BCM coding to make sense the appropriate/necessary parts must be installed (correctly), let's wait for a new report to make the necessary adjustments if necessary.

Mayur, I had the same plan when I decided to install the older axle, as they were quite new. But unfortunately they don't fit the old axle set up. So you will have to go with the either the old drum set up or rear disc once you install the older axle. You should be easily able to procure those FAG Wheel Hubs in Nasik, If you have any difficulty procuring them locally from within your city then let me know, I'll pass on the number of the guy from whom I got mine.

PS 1: They are now Made in India at their Gujarat plant.
PS 2: The Older axle seems to have a bigger drums compared later models.

Thank you Aditya I had a look at my old coding, it was the one given by Fernando. All seem to work fine with that one too. I have now tried the new one given by you. Just for my knowledge,what is the difference between the two?

Update : With the help of Aditya I have been able to resolve the odd behaviour of the OVRMs. Sometime back I remember trying the OVRM coding from either Govind Sir's or Patil Sir's Auto scan while copying the BCM coding. As soon as I answered that Aditya quickly provided me with the correct coding for the two OVRMs and that fixed the issue. So now all my power windows are working exactly as they are supposed to be.

There has been a delay in shipping the dimmer switch since I plan to get it along with the other parts which I had procured for Rear Disc set up, so the next update might take a while but for sure I'll update the thread with positive results

Hi Guys,

Finally, I received a whole set of parts for the car for the upcoming upgrades and some of them are already installed. But starting from where I had left off last time.

Previously I had an issue with the interior lights of the master power window switch & Headlamp switch not lighting up when parking lights are switched on. This issue was resolved after installing the dimmer switch. Big thank you to Fernando and Aditya for their help

17" Alloys
After installing BCM Max, I ended up procuring and installing a set of 17" Vegas which came off Skoda Kushaq. I was quite lucky with this set as I got them off a new vehicle as the owner was changing to a new set of alloys prior to taking delivery of his vehicle. I tried to go for 215/40 R17 but the tyre size is just too rare and there aren't much options to choose from so I decided to go with 215/45 R17.

I got them painted grey before installing them. I had asked the VW ASC to get them painted in the OE alloy colour scheme but to my surprise, even ASC didn't have the actual colour code for the OE. Anyhow I am satisfied with the current color as it is . In hindsight, I feel I would have been better off powder-coating them instead of spray-painting them as the paint seems to get chipped quite easily.

Rear Drum to Disc conversion
I ended by installing the rear axle beam from the pre-facelift polo and got the drum-to-disc conversion completed at the rear. Sometime back I had procured a set of rear and front calipers off a 6R GTI and after arranging a whole bunch of parts for rear disc upgrade, I could get them installed. A big shout out to Dr. Patil for the wonderful guide that he has shared with us for this conversion along with the whole list of parts that are required and the coding changes which need to be carried out. Halogen to LED Headlights

While procuring the caliper set I also got a set to Polo 6C LED headlights. I then went ahead to arrange the wiring set and the set of Headlight modules, the AFS Module and the rear axle sensor. I was fortunate to find a great offer on the axle sensor on an Australian e-commerce website during Christmas Time and I decided to pick it up without wasting much time. The LED Headlights wiring which I had procured from VAGExpress required some rework as it was originally meant for passat and Aditya helped me out with this rework. While installing the wiring, the dashboard was opened up and in the same go, I also got to install the hood contact switch and the windshield washer fluid sensor. Thanks to Aditya for the wiring and Fernando for sharing this retrofit with us

Now that all of the writing has been connected I had an issue with the AFS as it came from a Polo 6R GTI. It wasn't parameterized for LED Headlight. Looking at the firegraphic post on drive2 I found the XML file which we have to use to adapt the AFS module for led headlight. I tried updating AFS module using LED parameter XML using ODIS Engineering v12.x but it started popping up with an error almost near completion of the process saying "Write Data: security_access_failed". I tried to find out over the internet what might be causing this error but didn't find a helpful solution. I ended up flashing the module with FL_6R0907357___0070.frf, hoping that this would fix the issue. Upon flashing the file I got a new error on the cluster saying "no bend lighting (afs) function owner's manual ". Now when I try to update the coding for the AFS module it says "coding refused". Prior to flashing, I was at least able to code the module with egg on my face I moved ahead. Next I tried to load the LED parameter XML using ODIS but it didnt work either. Now trying to Look at it practically it then seemed that I had to perform access authorization before doing data transfer. I tried the security access code which I found on the forum but couldn't get them to work via ODIS. I see even GovindSharma Ji had a similar issue. I wonder how he managed to get it sorted. If anyone can help me out with this it would be a great help. PS: DRLs, turn indicators, low and high beam are working fine.

I see the parameterization file is for 6R0 907 357C and my module is 6R0907357. could that be the reason. Also in the parameterization file I see for login they have mentioned 20103 which I feel might be used as value for security access.

Passat B7 Seats
Ventilated seats are one thing which I always wished for when I purchased the car back in 2022. Unfortunately, none of the hatchbacks back then came with ventilated seats. During Summers in India, the temperatures can reach close to 40°C and being from costal region the humidity is close to 90%. To have some relief from the heat, I planned on installing the ventilated seats from the Passat B7. After purchasing seats, I procured set of seat adapters and wiring from a distant retrofitted and got them installed locally. By the time they were installed its already monsoon here Anyhow another one can be checked off the list. PS need to replace upholstery at some point in time, get the error fixed and try to get the heated seats button working

When transferring the dataset you do not need to manually enter the Security Access, this is something that the diagnostic tool already does for you in the transfer process.

Is it possible to retrofit memory module on the passenger seat?

Based on the current connections, I am not sure how that is going to work because currently, the difference between the driver & passenger side seat connector is that the driver side has 5 pins connected (Power, Ground, CAN High, CAN Low & power for ventilation) vs 3 pins for passenger seat (Power, Ground, & power for ventilation) if I use the same module and connect it CAN would the BCM automatically understand its a passenger seat and assign it 06 address? Probably its something I can read more upon. Btw, did you get the heating working on the Passat seats?

I think I am getting your drift Sir. Since the AFS ECUs are completely different, the one that I have installed probably might not be compatible with LED Headlights. Just for more clarity, I am posting an image of the AFS which I have Installed.

Clarifications:
- Now I seem to remember that Govind installed Bixenon headlights on his 6R, not LED headlights, so his experience is of no use to you.

- I insist , the autoscan you must look for must be done with an 'UPDATED' VCDS tool, otherwise we will not be able to know the dataset 'number'/'name' installed in unit 55 of that 6R (Vento-Ind) with LED headlights.

- Because your 6R is young, you should install a 'C' version 55 unit, which as you have seen can be useful for both Bixenon headlights and LED headlights.
If it is second-hand, make sure it comes from a PQ25 platform vehicle.
Only need to get the FACTORY data sets for those 'C' units fitted to the 6Rs with LED headlights.

I agree, Now having known the difference in the AFS ECUs between the "C" version and non "C" version, even if I had to succeed in flashing the LED Parameters, there would always be a thought at the back of my mind if the AFS is working how it works in the "C" version. So I have decided to get myself a tried and tested way and get the "C" version of AFS unit to save time and peace of mind.

Once I have the new AFS with me, I'll try to post the VCDS scan.

Can you please share some info about how to make it work for 3c8* seats? Did anyone got to retrofit the heated seats for these '3c8*' seats ?
