Auto headlight switch
Hey guys, i have a Polo 6R 2009 in Trendline spec and i bought an auto headlight switch from AliExpress and it doesnt work for me, sold it and it works on the same spec and year polo for the other dude. I was wondering if someone has experience or has a photo of what the female plug should look like (where the wires are located in which pin and what color) for the auto switch to work properly and the coming/leaving home function? Thanks in advance

Re: Auto headlight switch
Hi, from what you mention, we assume that the Ali AUTO light switch you bought and sold is one of those with a light sensor, and since there are a huge number of those non-original Auto light switches, no one can tell you exactly what is going on.
The wiring configuration is different for the different 6R models, even if they have 'similar' specifications.

Do you know where is the best place to buy auto light switch for VW Polo 6R? (without glossy silver frames?)ciclo wrote: Fri Aug 16, 2024 5:47 am Hi, from what you mention, we assume that the Ali AUTO light switch you bought and sold is one of those with a light sensor, and since there are a huge number of those non-original Auto light switches, no one can tell you exactly what is going on.

Re: Auto headlight switch
I couldn't tell you. I guess you'll have to experiment with different models of non-original AUTO light switches from the Ali stores... that's what I had to do for my ex-POLO 9N3 until I found one that worked 95% like the Original.
I still have one of those, without glossy silver frames (not for sale).

I think currently the light sensor is built into the knob or switch body.
