'M' on DSG gear display

'M' on DSG gear display
Recently acquired 2022 reg. Polo 1.0 TSI Life DSG has on 2 occasions briefly shown 'M' on the gear display in the instrument cluster. Haven't been able to deliberately reproduce event and it is not mentioned in the manual. What does it indicate please?

When M is active it means the car is in manual mode and you can use the flappy paddles to change gear like a manual car. I have on occasion accidently pushed my gear lever over to manual. Hopefully this video may clear it up for you:
