LED DRL that are Canbus compatible

Post by Jaybird9 »

Hi everyone, first post from a new user and new Polo owner! I have tried to upgrade the stock P21W DRL bulbs for some LED ones to make the front look more modern.

Only problem is the bulbs I’ve bought on eBay show up a canbus error about 50% of the time (despite the seller saying they wouldn’t). The other 50% of the time they don’t.

Bit frustrating as they work fine and look so much better!

Anyone got a link to some P21W LED bulbs that definitely are canbus compatible?

Many thanks

I can recommend E M Tuning who specialise in led lighting. www.emtuning.co.uk. The chap there is called Trups, and is very helpful. I got all the led lighting for my Audi and my wife’s Blue GT from there. All guaranteed and canbus compatible.

It's also possible to bought non canbus LED and code module 9 to configur it with led output settings.

It's what I did with Osram led. 2-3 years without any issues.

Anyone else got any suggestions or used LED bulbs that they can recommend? The suggested company above replied to my email but then ignored me since

I can probably live with the normal headlight bulbs, but an LED version of the DRL bulbs that don’t show up a canbus warning would be great.

All the ones on eBay are Chinese knock off rubbish that say they don’t show a canbus error, but they do, the sellers just don’t care that their listings are wholly fraudulent.

I have bevinsee v35 on my car for 2 years as h4 ( main headlight) and no canbus error
Their v45 and v55 are much better and stronger. They dont blind oncoming traffic.

You have tests of their bulbs on youtube from various sources and there is a test on a skoda.

Not sure if you can get hands on the Amio branded P21W bulbs since I've only seen them in in EU stores, but I've been using these
https://amio.pl/en/led-canbus-24smd-303 ... -4955-3041
for almost two years now.
They are not annoyingly bright, have decent build quality and there are no canbus errors.
