2024 gti spitting out foam

just found a piece of green foam in my left air vent...

I have looked through most of the documentation available online, as well as some dash parts and install. I couldn't find any similar piece to this in the whole ac system assembly..

Anyone has any ideas? The car is 4 months old, is this a case for a warranty claim...? Is some foam in my ac system disintegrating? A quick google search points to blend door foam, but as far as I know, the 2024 polo has no foam on the blend door, just plastic.
