Hey
vw polo 1.4 petrol 2005 front breaks sticking after 15 minutes of driving
I’ve replaced the front right calliper (thought it was this issue) and front left calliper pistons go in easy as I’ve also replaced the discs and pads on both front wheels
When I’m driving for about 15/20 mins it feels like the breaks start seizing. Car slows down until eventually it won’t move.
Break pedal goes solid both front breaks seems to be on. Both front wheels are boiling, stink of burning and sometimes smoking.
I’ve also flushed and put new break fluid in and bled it.
Running out of options on what this can be. Is it worth taking it a garage for them change different things till it’s fixed. replace the abs pump (if this is the issue) ? Please help only had the car a month. Costing me a bomb

With what brand discs and pads did you replace? Any ABS issues should indicate an error code. Do you have have an ODB II code reader?

Hi mate
I’m getting someone I work with get his proper reader to have a look and a garage replaced the discs and pads so ‘presuming’ they’re correct…. Be worrying if not it was front break pads and discs. Had the back pistons replaced month ago on the mot (back breaks are drums)

It wasn’t even the ABS he replaced it lasted a lot longer but happened again. Feel like it’s only right side which is where the calliper has been replaced. Need help asap please.littlepolo wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 9:01 am With what brand discs and pads did you replace? Any ABS issues should indicate an error code. Do you have have an ODB II code reader?
