Opened the hatch as normal using the handle yesterday morning and closed it.
Went to something else into the boot and the hatch won't open from the handle, only from the button on the key.
I've pulled the trim from inside the hatch and unplugged the connector on the back of the handle and bridged the two contacts on the connector and with the latch in the closed position, nothing happened.
I'm guessing that there is probably a broken wire between the hatch and the body, or have I missed something else?

Re: Hatch not opening off the handle
Turns out that the wiring is broken between the hatch and the roof.
Time to get the soldering iron and heat shrink out!

Re: Hatch not opening off the handle
This problem has been reported here with some frequency, not usual but from time to time.
Personally, I would make a new wiring with connectors/couplings, from the C-pillar to the hatch. Under the appropriate circumstances the cost is minimal, the installation is simple, and the result is highly reliable.
