Ready 2 Discover Navigation Upgrade - has anyone done it?

Just got an email from VW saying that the price for the navigation option on the Ready 2 Discover has now been reduced.
Previously, the upgrade was around 650 EUR, now it's reduced to 315 EUR.

Now, I mostly use Google/Apple maps, but the appeal here is to have the navigation displayed in the instrument cluster. Would that work with the upgrade?
Also, I'm thinking resale values, if it helps, then 315 EUR is not a huge investment.

I don't have navi on the Polo but I have it on the Ibiza and I never use it, it's much better the Android navigation
