What is behind this area in console?

Hi everyone

I want to run a cable through from inside this area. I don't know what is directly behind the areas in red if I drilled a very small hole. There are no gaps in this unit I can that I can see that might already be usable. If i can get a suitable place to drill I can fish a cable through.

Just need a heads up.. I don't really want to dismantle the whole thing if I don't need to. Polo AW Manual 1.0 TSi

well there is not a lot of room right behind the back plane.. 20mm?

however i managed to fish my cables through for my little monitor.. i had a screen in the rear view mirror but the brightness was not very good in midday sun.

this little thing (£6) is fabulous in full daylight (can't believe it!!!.. .. I just need to affix it into a frame properly in the little compartment.. might do a 3D print specifically for it.. Hmmmm
