Hi
I have a Polo 6c 2016 1.2 TSI Manual
The car was involved in an accident involving the front end , tried to re enable the power steering after new seat belts and airbags installed.
All lights were off except the red steering wheel. It could not go through the procedure as it kept saying data bus message missing and it would not allow access to remove the crash data. Having done this before on a 1.0 2017 6c manual before it was a baffling message. Was using a launch x431
Tried using a very basic Autel machine at this point the dash lit up like a Christmas tree.
Took car to a workshop they said it was a faulty abs pump replaced it with another abs pump when back at home.
Same issue could not access the brake electronics to program the new module. All round same issue
Checked the fuses found 2 fuses in the engine bay , the box behind the battery not getting power in Fuses f16 and f15.
I am currently going to try to test the can bus no clue how to do it so going to watch some YouTube videos.
Any help or advise would be appreciated wire diagrams ?

Re: Data Bus Message missing
Your wiring is probably fine given that you can communicate with it.
It's likely a different sw version from the 2017 and that's why the crash data won't clear.
