Hello, I am new here. I thought it wouldn't hurt to introduce myself, and show you all the upgrades I've done.

— TPMS Module with sensors in tires (3AA907273F).
— PDC in front bumper (I already had PDC in the rear bumper.
— Discover Media PQ with APPconnect, Voice Control & Offroad Info.
— Side assist radars from VW Transport 7E0907566C & 7E0907568C. (Working on mirror lights).
— Installed BCM Max 7E0937090C .

— Virtual Cluster (AID) retrofit with compatibility for different assistance systems( e.g. Side Assist, Direct TPMS, Trafic Sign Recognition, and many more.)
— Kessy System with comfort Kessy, auto lock and unlock. (Ordered parts for OEM VW Start button, and Kessy door handles).

— Prepare Wiring for lights over BCM, maybe with OEM Light sensor retrofit, now I've the aftermarket lightswitch

I don't know exactly how to tag people in an post, so i'm replying to your post.

Well, a long time ago I installed the 7E0907566, and it seemed to work, except for a few error codes, which I thought would go away once the EEPROM in the IC was updated and the IC would support Side Assist (BSD).

My idea was to visit our friend MadWarLock for that, but fate decided otherwise. I'm not a big fan of aftermarket systems, but I saw a very tempting offer for a Digital Cockpit (AID) for a VW Polo 6R. So I thought, why not, let's just give it a try. AID worked fine, and to my surprise, this cluster supported BSD! The function was already integrated here.
So, of course, I tried it right away, and... it didn't work quite as I expected, because the driver side lamp started flashing for a moment, then went out and did nothing more. So I checked everything and found out that I had a wiring harness for a Passat, and as Benzinkopf had described earlier, the lamps there share the same ground, while on the Transporter, where I got the modules from, both lamps have their own ground.
So I adjusted this and, just like Ciclo, installed anti-dazzle mirrors with lights in them. It looks really cool! Thanks for the tip, @Ciclo !
Together with the l7805cv (12v-5v) converter. But... the error message for Open circuit / short circuit to B+ (C111615) is still there.


The BSD module probably thinks the lamp is defective because the power is too low. So maybe put a resistor between the 12V and the ground? But the big question is, how many mA or W does the module want? @Ciclo , maybe you know?

Then there's one more strange thing: when I go to the live data from the BSD module, the vehicle speed remains stuck at 60 km/h. How is this possible? It is correctly connected to the CAN bus, everything works, so how does the module arrive at that speed when my car is stationary? A bit strange...



I hope one of you has an answer for this, because I've already been through everything ...

It's hard to know, but the 7E0 BSD units have a different operating software than the 5Q0 BSD units.
I think Michel installed or has them installed in his 6R, although I think he intended to install the 2Q0 radars. I'm sure he knows more about these 7E0 BSD units dedicated to the Transporter.
I see in the diagrams that some Transporters (not all) use a C10 suppression filter in the driver's door, which is connected between the unit (radar) and the BSD warning lights. I don't know the reason, but it would be good to know. Will there be any influence on these 7E0 BSD units having a different SW depending on whether C10 is installed?

At some point, did your 7E0 Lane Change system work correctly with the 6R GTI Instrument Cluster and your voltage regulators?

As you know, I installed the 5Q0 BSD units dedicated to the Golf 7.5, and just like I did, with the L7806CV voltage regulators for 5V LEDs in the BSD warning lights, everything works like a charm. I'd even go so far as to say even better than when I had them installed in the Golf 7.5... due to the perfect illumination of the LEDs in the mirrors. I love it, and to my surprise, my wife finds it an extraordinarily good driving aid.

If installing the 5Q0 or 2Q0 radars isn't a big problem for you, go for it, I'd venture to say the operating software is a bit better than the 7E0 radars.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, iichel and MadWarLock have installed the 5Q0 or 2Q0 radars. I'll try these radars first. I'll Just place different resistors between the ground and 12V+ until the error message disappears.I'f seen the C10 filter, i think it's propably for preventing voltage drops or disruptions, I have no idea, but many people, including Bezinkopf, do not install this filter. Perhaps it is intended for vehicles that have the battery in the trunk? If it can't be fixed, I'll look for 5Q0 radars.
