Import From Japan to UK

Hi,

I have recently imported a polo Blue GT from Japan to the UK. Me and my dad did a service on it and found brass filings in the oil which is obviously big end bearings. The last oil and filter was done a year ago and done barely any miles but it sat for at least 5 months and I have no idea what to do with the car.

Either risk driving it and the engine starts to knock or sell the car.

Unfortunately the company I bought it from don’t take any responsibility as they are just a middle man from the dealership in Japan so there is no warranty or anything.
