VW POLO 6R STEERING WHEEL

Post by Retali »

Hello guys once again hello darkness my old friend as the song says,

I have two questions

1) On my steering the plastic inlay that surrounds the VW emblem , started chipping/detaching (close to the emblem's periphery in the recess)
i know it is a minor thing, but it is right infront in my eyes and it bothers me... Has anyone dealt with this issue before and what did you do to solve it
I gather you can not remove the steering wheel emblem etc , without causing more destruction .

2) I have the scirocco wheel and a gti cluster, i gather i can upgrade it into a mfa steering wheel by adding the buttons, module and loop ( Ciclo as provided me the part numbers in another post)
But regarding the wiring to BCM and the light switch, i saw the DIY guide that dates back to 2010s . Is it possible to be executed with another type of wiring, more easily ?

It turned out the peeling i was seeing was not from the outer soft plastic part of the emblem, but from
the inlay (the inbetween part of the V and W) . It must be a sort of plastidip plastic or a very thin layer like a membrane
where the emblem was pressed on. And it ran or oversprayed or the part was not cut correctly.
It get on my nerves so much i started rubbing it gently with a tip of a nail in order to destroy it (hagakure style)
but it ended being a completely isolated part and not connected to the outerlay. lol
