Heated Seats - Anybody got? Help Please

Hi all,

By popular request, I am looking into heated seat upgrade.

It's quite an easy mod, however newer 9N's (2003>>) have the heater element built into the seat cover fabric. Therefore I expect it will be expensive .

I have got a parts list prepared for a quotation, however the erWin diagrams are showing a plug and socket that is not listed on ETKA (well not obvious anyway!)

The plug n' socket in question are located under the DRIVERS seat (Not the yellow plug - thats the side airbag!!!!)

The plug and socket should be 6-pin with the following coloured wiring:
To J519 and in seat heating wiring harness (Going towards dash panel):

• Red/Green
  Black/Blue
  Brown

To the seat:

• Brown/Black
  Black/Yellow
  Brown

It's listed as 6-pin all though it's only got three wires. It may be used in conjunction with another function like the seatbelt retainer.

I wonder if anybody who has the luxury of heated seats and wouldn't mind getting on their knees would be kind enough to have a look at the plug and socket and list the part numbers on them. The P/N's should look something like:

6Q0 971 716 &
6Q0 972 716 A
