135 bhp

Post by moynas »

:D put the polo on a rolling road today and was very pleased with the outcome!

went up against a lupo gti which was stock that produced 130bhp then put the polo on with its bmc and exhaust and it produced 135 bhp with 120 lbs of torque! very pleased!

Its the same engine as the Polo GTi, so probably 130bhp as standard IIRC...

I think it would be intersting to stick mine on and see what it actually does produce. I bet it isn't what it is meant to be. Some days, she can't be bothered and other days she seems to go really well.

Thats what VW tell you, yeah. But it's a bit like the jap-spec Imprezas, the Japanese law is that they are limited to 280bhp, so thats what Subaru claim, despite there being maybe closer to 300/310bhp in there

Nothing in the law to say the polos got to be limited to 125 though

I think all manufacturers like to quote down a bit because of fluctuation in the output over all the cars produced...

At the moment I think I'd accept a reliable 110 brake! Mine was alternating between feeling 140 and 25 today  sod shreik cams, I think mine has got shrek cams!!!

Do the shreiks make that much difference?
