I'm glad a common reply is Idle Control Valve or ISV - if it's anything like a (*coughs) vauxhall item it's not the bit you can see that needs cleaning it's the bit you can't see - they work like a stepper motor but all the comutator, brushes and windings are exposed to the same rubbish and then they don't step cleanly or respond quickly

choke..i would never have known...

Thing is the car was warm and i had been in it for over 30mins.
Welll bugger me did I say it was to do with the choke?

yea, you said the smell of fuel was cos it was running rich when it was cold with the choke.

If thats what ur ramblings meant?
If not then explain as i'm lost now.

Ah you missed the point then. The mention of choke was just an asside, in agreement with what logic was saying.

My "ramblings" as you call them, were my feeble attempt at trying to set people straight, If you want to be like that I wont bother anymore. :roll: :(

they run quieter at idle too :D

meh i dunno.... whats the difference between the carb and the injector that means the injector cant freeze up then?

crap, now mine's playing its face from a cold start, too

first running on 3 cylinders below 2500, then coming *close* to stalling on clutch down
time to get the hot air pipe back on methinks baldrick

Since cleaning out the TB mines been running ok, I know it won't be a cure but it aint stalled or threatened to since.
