That's when the "supposed" new face-lifted Polo suppose to come out next year. Don't think there will be a GTI for the Polo. We've got the GT already with the TurboDiesel lump.

There will be a GTI 9n2, but it'll be a while yet...

No, I meant wait for the facelift so you don't get stuck with a dull old looking car...

The facelift is going to be very different. Trust me.

Well why dont' you go for the new Golf then. I love that car.

But is it "actually" going to come out though - the new facelifted Polo. 'cos I asked my local dealer, well I know that guy and he said they haven't got any news.

And I didn't even know there was supose to be a GTI version of the current Polo! Is there?

Our "man at VW" said it. I was sitting at the same table as Josh when he did!

We've known that a new GTI was coming for a some time now (over a year). We've now got "confirmation" from Milton Keynes that it will be coming to the UK. It may arrive with the facelift in the UK or it may (more likely) come a few months later. RHD 9N2s will be appearing a "few months" after LHD ones.

In my estimation, I'm expecting the GTI around this time next year. VW may choose to delay it until Jan 06 to build expectations as they have done with the Golf GTI (as it has worked really well for them).

Next year will be really interesting for VW, with the Fox, Bora and Passat all turning up in the UK and (with the exclusion of the Fox, afaik) the roll-out of their new corporate "nose".

Deek.
