Rieger Kit

Post by Petrified »

I think this might be the body kit I want to get!

It's ace! It's got a similar grille to the JE Design one except it looks like the bonnet is shut properly!

I can get it through a local dealer, I'm just waiting for the prices

You can see it better in red. I didn't think it looked much like Moles kit.
I dont think it looks that great in red though.

The rear looks very nice too.

It's only £530!

I say only, can't afford it at the moment though. I'm well tempted.

I can't decide on that one or the Votex one. I already have the vortex spoiler and can get most of the other bits cheaper than this Rieger kit.

I guess the car might be easier to sell if it has the votex kit??

The plan is in 2-3 years getting the Polo GTi or R18 when it's available...

I reckon, the Polo GTi will come out in the showrooms and you'll be down at your local dealership chequebook in hand. Why not wait till the GTi is out before commiting to a bodykit.

Yeah, but I wouldn't be able to afford the insurance!
Saying that I wouldn't be able to afford the beast either. :(

I reckon it'll be another 2 years at least. If I start saving now...

That looks nice James, very smart. Can you send me the link for the back kit as I may be tempted if its better than the VW one.

Better in black too! 8)

Pictures of the full kit here mate:

http://www.rieger-tuning.de/Modellshow/ ... lo/270.pdf

Here is a list of places you can get the kit from:

http://www.rieger-tuning.de/Partner/seite.htm

I might go for the Vortex kit now as I've also found somewhere to get the sideskirts dead cheap. And I'm sure I can find the other bits.

The main reason is that I know I'll probably be selling the car in 2 years and getting a GTi :D :D

The VW dealer told me it would be worth more to trade in if it had the Vortex kit whereas the other kits actually devalue the car.

Im not sure how much of that is true...

Anyway I've got my Wheels on as well now and will take some pics over the weekend when I get chance to clean the rest of the car.

I'm sure the new Polo GTI will be great but I'm going for the A3 after 3 years! 8)

You going to lose loads if you sell you car after 2 years.

I'm kidding myself really 'in 2 years'

In 2 years I would have paid off this car. But even then I probably wouldn't be able to afford the GTi, or the insurance. :|

But yeah, it will most probably be 3, just before the warrenty runs out like I did with the last one. I just want to see what extras you get with the GTi first...

I've just been reading the above posts.

I'm like that guy in the pub on the fast show who can't make up his mind and doesn't have an opinion of his own!

The Reiger kit is good but quite similar to the VW one so I'd just go for the Vw one as I did-this way at least its a selling pint n the car and may get you a bit more for it. 8)
