I have a polo 1.2 65 twist.
It is only 1 year old, and when it was sold to me new, I was told it was on variable servicing.
The car has covered only 2400 miles, and the dash is already telling me it needs a service. Howe on earth is this possible.
Am I being taken for a ride, even the service manager seemed surprised, but then seemed to change his mind saying that a service had to be carried out.
He then said he would just do an oil and filter change at a cost of £120. This sounds like an awful lot to me, but it is my first car, so maybe I am wrong.
Any help or advice much appreciated.

Look in your service schedule handbook mate,
Mine is on long life servicing and has all the details in there for when things need to be done. For mine there is an oil change service every 12 months or x amount of miles. Whichever comes first. I think thats correct anyway, although the car will tell me when it's next due thank god.
